Who doesn’t love the thrill of an adventure? Traveling around the world seeking out the best experiences on this planet is something that everyone should find the time to do. If you’re an adventure-lover, then join the club. There’s nothing I love more than experiencing all this beautiful planet has to offer us. With that in mind, I’ve put together a list of the six best adventure activities in the world – some a bit more white-knuckle than others.

Hiking to Havasupai Falls

This tops my list, as it’s something I got the joy of experiencing this year – after three years of trying to make a reservation. This is the perfect place to connect with nature and find time for yourself while bathing in the turquoise waters of one of the three waterfalls in the area. Once you’ve hiked to the campground and set up camp, you can then explore all that the Havasupai Falls has to offer. I’d recommend spending at least 2-3 nights here, so you can really soak it all in.

Safari in South Africa

If you really want to connect with nature, there’s nothing better than a safari experience in South Africa. The best thing about going on safari is you can choose to rough it in a tent or go all out luxury in a villa. Kruger National Park is one of the most popular safari hotspots in South Africa and is also one of the best places to spot lions, elephants, giraffe, and a whole host of other magnificent beasts.

Snowboarding or Skiing in Whistler

Whistler in Canada is a dream destination for snow sports if you’d like a chillier adventure. If you want to make the most out of fresh snowfall, then you’ll want to head there between January and March, but expect some crowds at the beginning of the year. The mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, offer up over 8,100 of slopes covered in the white stuff. Don’t forget to make the most out of the apres-ski entertainment too.

Surfing at Bondi Beach

Australia is one of the top destinations in the world for surfing, and Bondi Beach is ideal for surfing beginners and pros alike. This white-sanded iconic beach is like a little slice of paradise, with reliable waves that make it a popular destination for surfers. There are plenty of surfing schools that will teach you the ropes if you’re new to riding waves, plus hire shops that will loan you all of the right equipment.

Snowmobiling to the Northern Lights

Going to see the Northern Lights is an adventure in itself, but what about taking a snowmobile there? North Norway, Finland, and Sweden are some of the best places in the world not only to see the Northern Lights but also to snowmobile around. This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure you’ll remember forever, especially if the aurora borealis makes an appearance.

Skydive Over the Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is epic in itself, but if you want to make it a real adventure, then you’re going to want to add a bit of skydiving into the mix. You can essentially tick two items off your bucket list if you skydive over the Grand Canyon, and this is something you certainly won’t forget in a hurry. How many people do you know who have skydived the Grand Canyon?

Final Thought

These are some of the most incredible adventure activities around the world that you’ll definitely want to add to your bucket list. Can you think of any I’ve missed off the list? Let me know in the comments.
