It’s hard to believe that only 6 months ago I went on a 3 month long backpacking trip to Southeast Asia which took me to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. From mango sticky rice at the night markets in Chiang Mai to swimming with ginormous manta rays in Nusa Lembogan in Bali, Southeast Asia was quite the experience and was the catalyst of venturing on to more adventures.

I never leave for an adventure without my camera so I captured many of my best travel moments whether by snapshots or recordings and that amounted to hours of footage. I recently began to sift through my memory cards and hard drive and finally started putting clips together from Asia which made me feel nostalgic for summer in the tropics.

  1. Nice! Where were you guys biking in Vietnam (about halfway through the video)? That looks more like what I remember from Yunnan in China than from SE Asia!

    1. Hey Stephen, thank you!! The scene that we’re riding in is Sapa, Vietnam which is reallllly close to the Chinese border. You are very right, it’s so different than the rest of SEA and I absolutely loved the landscape and the weather ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Ah, cool, that name is familiar (as a trekking area with a lot of hill tribes, iirc?) even if the landscape is unexpected. I’ll have to see if I can’t make it over there next time I have a few days to kill in SE Asia.

  2. This is really awesome!!! I’ve always wanted to create something like this from my travels. I need to start recording!! This is great way to be able to look back and reminisce about your adventures. I can only imagine how nostalgic it makes you feel!! Nice job. Love the song choice too.

  3. Nice! Especially Vietnam looks lovely! Those caves look very claustrophobic though! ๐Ÿ™‚
