I’m finally going to be traveling through Southeast Asia! Wednesday is my last day in the US and from here I will be flying right into Bangkok, Thailand. I am absolutely ecstatic as I’ve been planning this trip since I came back from Europe in October and have dreamed about it for years…and the time to go is finally here!

I will be backpacking through 7 countries in about 3 months, taking a much-needed slow pace to enjoy and experience each place as much as possible. So far the plan is to go to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. It seems like a lot to cover in 3 months and to be honest I don’t believe 3 months is enough for really exploring the region, but when I return from my trip I have more traveling plans I can’t wait to share later on.

I’m looking forward to visiting ancient sites, religious sites, swimming in pristine beaches, exploring trails, water falls, rock climbing, eating pho, mango and sticky rice, and the list can just go on and on. Til now, I’ve been looking up photos of the region on Pinterest and Instagram, getting giddier and giddier as each day goes by.

Here are some places I look forward to checking out:
