$30 in Free Uber Credits for New Users

I just checked my Uber account this morning and saw that there is a new $30 sign up credit promo for new users. The normal promotion code for new Uber accounts is $10 so if you don’t have an Uber account yet, then this is a great way to earn free credit to towards a ride.

To take advantage of the offer, use the promo code ‘uberSUZIN‘ or by using this invitation link.

Here is how to get the $30 credits:

1. Download the Uber mobile app by clicking here.

2. Type in the promo code uberSUZIN

If you already have a Uber account, then my promo codes for new users will not work for you. I don’t have any promo codes for existing accounts, but when I come across one I will definitely share it.

The Uber app works on Android devices, iPhones,  and iPads, but even if you don’t have a smart phone or tablet with a wi-fi connection, you can log on through a computer to request a ride. The credit you have in your account can be used on any of the Uber vehicles and if you don’t have enough Uber credits in your account to cover the entire fare, then you just pay the difference using the credit card you have one file.

Right now I’m in Thailand, and I plan to use Uber at some point within the next three months while I’m traveling through SE Asia. There are a lot of taxi services here and depending on where I plan to go the fares are really cheap, so I may wait to use it until I am in Singapore to get a ride to the airport.

Surprised that Uber is in Thailand? Uber is all over the world, in 38 countries to be exact, so if you’re traveling and wouldn’t really use Uber or any other taxi service at home, then that may be a reason to jump on the promo and start earning credits and $30 is a good chunk to start with. It’s a good tactic to save on transportation costs during your travels.

On a side note, for a limited time if you plan to use UberX in Los Angeles then you will receive 25% off your fare, no special promo code needed. Here’s what Uber posted as sample fares:

West Hollywood to Lax: $19. Santa Monica to Downtown LA: $27. Hermosa Beach to Manhattan Beach: $6.

So if you need a ride to LAX while the 25% off promotion is happening, then the $30 Uber credits will basically get you there for free.
